I've never gotten deeper than Philosophy Lite myself. I do think that reading and learning anything about philosophy (or any other subject) is worthwhile.

I see a lot of the philosophy lite stuff. I think it is good to expose more people to philosophy and make philosophy more accessible. I also think it should be more of a gateway than a stopping point.
