Really great find. It’s interesting when a story is written with some levity but about a genetic abnormality that is both physically and emotionally devastating. This was heartbreaking and memorable. I had no idea that such a condition actually existed. Glad it got AOTD!
When I saw the title of this article, I knew I had to read it. Then I saw it was 28 minutes long - okay, I’ll just begin it and finish later. I could not stop reading this - REALLY well written. Deserves AOTD.
Honestly, same. Planned to skim through it, but it gripped me by my throat the instant I started, releasing me, weak and shook, some 20+ minutes later.

Same here. I didn’t think I would reread it but got so locked in and am so glad I did. Beautiful.

Same! it’s funny how the length of an article (or a book) is only intimidating when you haven’t started reading it yet.
