      Probably some good instincts and practices here but the rules seem arbitrary (reading is okay, and light exercise and just not too much talking). Ends up coming off as gimmicky and self-important.

        Fascinating. I agree, “dopamine fast” is gimmicky, self-important nonsense. But also, yes, we humans, each in our own way, need to re-master the basic art of charge, deplete, re-charge. “Don’t overstimulate” is a weird, double-negative way of saying something obvious: “sometimes relax”
