The media frenzy around this situation reminds me a lot of the college admissions scandal. These kinds of stories are about more than just the people involved. They are basically the story of America right now - who we are as a society, how money, power, and capitalism work, and who wins and loses. The system is broken.

So true ... woman are living in a dark time so many sexual deviants who get away with it. It seems to me that these men were definitely getting something from Epstein and most likely young girls.

True. But the darkness is lifting, right? Or do you think these times are darker for women than, say, 20 years ago? Or 40? Or, for that matter, 200 or 400 years ago? Reproductive rights are disappearing. That's mega dark. And backwards. But also I think there are a lot of reasons that it's way better to be a woman now than at any other time in history.

Anyway, this is a lot like talking about race. Slavery lasted until the 1860s and Jim Crow lasted for full century (!) after that. So it's possible that the current reality is still a nightmare even if the very recent history was a way more hellish nightmare.

This pedophile sh*t is straight out of True Detective Season 3. I think that wealthy people just think they can have whatever they want, even if it's illegal.

I know there are many advances and advantages we have that even my mother did not but we still haven’t passed the ERA .... that’s insane ...We are not represented in politics and we still make 80 % of what men do. 30 something percent of woman serving in the military are raped. We are quickly loosing our ability to have agency over our bodies which affects woman physically, emotionally and financially.

Thanks for sharing! Just reading about the ERA right now. Literally had no clue that that was even a thing. Definitely something I want to read more about.

Florida is one of the states working hard for ERA. Hard for me to get my head around the 12 states that don’t believe that equality is necessary in a democracy..

Wow, a real mystery. I want to know the understory. This makes no sense on the surface.

Is Wexner still sane enough to write a tell-all? That’s my question.

He’s 81 and I’m not sure he is the one to “tell all.” His involvement with Epstein is SO suspect, so over the top. How he allowed him to be his personal money manager when the man did not even graduate from college! I’m wondering if he, himself, got involved in the “sex” dividends. I have no idea but why did Wexner allow this stranger to take so much control of his finances? Sex is a powerful, seductive force that can make one loose their minds. Of course I am only speculating - have no evidence what so ever. And would hate to tarnish someone’s reputation if it is not the case. I would love for Wexner to come forward with an explanation but he never even did that for his friends! Something sure smells rotten.

            Yup. I’m sure you’re right.

The article is interesting. Definitely makes it seem like Wexner is the godfather of the sex trade and like Epstein was doing all the dirty work, setting everything up behind the scenes. They could have been doing all kinds of other illegal/unethical/unsavory stuff too though.

            Rotten is right.
