Lawrence is considered a progressive town. Yet, incidents like this and a long-term city plan that will only exacerbate an affordable housing issue, makes them (us) look as snobby as any city in the US.
I work with teens in the educational setting. Vaping has been a huge issue. This article helps get the word out about the possible harm it can do. In my experience, the current teenage generation will respond to real life experiences relating to lung illnesses because they have seen the impact of smoking on their own parents and grandparents. We just have to get the word out and most of them will respond proactively.
Lots to think about here.
